Scottish Champions Celtic and their Glasgow rivals Rangers will both kick off their Ladbrokes Premiership seasons exclusively live on Sky Sports in August.
Mark Warburton’s Rangers will host Hamilton Academical on the opening day of the season on August 6th, followed by Brendan Rodgers’ first competitive game in charge of Celtic the following day as his side travel to Edinburgh to face Hearts.
The opening weekend marks the start of exciting season of Scottish football live on Sky Sports, which will show 30 exclusively live matches from the SPFL, including up to four Celtic v Rangers league games, only available to pubs with Sky Sports.
Sky Sports will also bring viewers in pubs exclusively live games from the William Hill Scottish Cup.
Sky Sports has 21 of the 38 first picks of matches for the 2016/17 season, meaning it has greater control of the match selection process, offering its pub and club venues more of the bigger games in the forthcoming season.
